DHARMIC PROGRAMMES TO BE ENHANCED IN MANMADHANAMA-EO

Tirupati, 21 March 2015: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao advocated that dharmic programmes will be taken up in extensive way in Manmadhanama Samvatsara Ugadi.

Addressing the Special Ugadi program organised jointly by TTDs welfare and HDPP wings in Mahati auditorium on Saturday, the EO wished everyone to be blessed with all happies and prosperity from this auspicious day onwards. The EO also stressed that apart from religious and dharmic programmes special focus will be laid on medical and educational activities also. Tirupati Jeo Sri Pola Bhaskar also extended Ugadi greetings on this occasion.

Renowned astrologer and Sanskrit scholar Sri Gopal Vajjhala Balasubrahmanya Shastry rendered Panchangam Shravanam. Ugadi Pacchadi was also distributed to the audience on this occasion. Later “KAVITHA Sammelanam was conducted with 15 expert scholars including the veterans of telugu literature viz. Sri mudivarthi kondamacharyulu, Sri samudrala lakshmnaiah, Sri mannavabhaskar Naidu, Sri kaluvagunta Ramurthi, Dr Vibhishana Sharma and others.

This programme was followed by traditional fancy dress programme by children, “Telugu Velugu” dance ballet programme and concluded with prise distribution to the winning employees in the Essay, songs, poetry and Padya pathanam competitions held for the special occasion.

HDPP Secretary Sri Prayaga Ramakrishna, Deputy EO Welfare Smt Gautami, SVBC Liasion Officer Sri Venkata Sharma, Special officer Sri Raghunath, Sri Damodar Naidu, Sri Chennakesavulu, Sri Sai Ram were also present.
