TIRUMALA, October 4: Dial Your EO programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday where in TTD EO Sri M G Gopal interacted with the pilgrim callers and received their suggestions and complaints over phone and responded to their queries. Some excerpts of the meeting:

Answering a pilgrim caller, Sri Madhukar from Sholapur of Maharastrawho complained of poor maintenance of taps and water leakage inSapthagiri guest house in Tirumala, the EO responding quickly to hiscomplaint said the Engineering officials will immediately rectify the defects if any.

 Another caller Smt Durga from Hyderabad who suggested the TTD EO to consider for an alternative security check near Alipiri since it is becoming difficult for aged to get down near the check post with baggage. The EO replied that due to security measures, the checking is mandatory for every one but however he said, he will instruct the vigilance officials to think about alternative ways to check aged people without putting them to inconvenience. Another caller Smt Nagaratnam from Tadipatri of Anantapur district requested to telecast Mahabharatam pravachanam episodes in SVBC every day instead of week ends alone. Answering the query the EO said, since other programmes need to be accommodated several other spiritual programmes with in the limited space available it will not be possible to telecast Mahabharatam all through the week, but however he assured to allocate couple of more days for the programme.

Answering a pilgrim caller Sri BalaVenkateswarulu of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the EO assured him to increase the number of ticket issuing counters in Tirumala RTC bus stand after negotiating with the department officials. Another caller Sri Mani from Tirupati suggested EO to make arrangements to make every pilgrim wear Tirunamam during Brahmotsavams. Answering the caller, the EO said, TTD has already implemented the same in VQC I and some other areas and the Srivari Seva volunteers are already rendering the service of wearing Tirunamam to visiting pilgrims in these areas.

Earlier in his address, the EO extended an invitation to the pilgrims across the country and abroad to take part in the annual Brahmotsavams which are set ready to start from 5th October. “TTD has made elaborate arrangements in terms of transportation and other facilities to the pilgrims in spite of the agitations. So pilgrims can take part in the mega religious fete without any hesitation”, he maintained.

Later talking to media persons over Brahmotsavam arrangements, the EO said, in the wake of two-day bandh call given by Samaikhyandhra JAC TTD has made elaborate food arrangements to the visiting pilgrims near Alipiri, Tirupati Railway Station, Srinivasam and Vishnunivasam in Tirupati and Bus Stand, Rambhageecha rest house and CRO office in Tirumala.

JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy and other officials were also present.
