DIAL YOUR EO PROGRAMME EXCERPTS

TIRUMALA, OCT 5:  The monthly “Dial Your EO” programme held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday where in the TTD Executive Officer Sri LV Subramanyam interacted with the pilgrim callers directly over phone. Some excerpts of the programme.
 
Answering to a callers Sri Srinivas from Nellore, Sri Babuji from Kurnool and Sri Nagaprasad of Anantapur the EO said TTD has already invited applications from the interested candidates who can take part in the Hindu Dharma Prachara programmes taken up by TTD in every district head quarters without seeking anything in return under the aegis of HDPP wing of TTD. “They should dedicate themselves in this great service of propagating Hindu dharma even in remote villages. We are contemplating to give them training in our SVETA. This will become operational from December 1 this year”, EO maintained. The EO also thanked the suggestions of pilgrim callers who expressed their wish to join hands with TTD to root out conversions in the remote villages. 
 
Replying a caller Sri K Venkatramana from Hyderabad, the EO said TTD is planning to display the antique jewels of Lord Venkateswara in SV Museum, Tirumala amidst hi-fi security. “Since it is a very sensitive issue, we are still in the discussions stage. But the unused antique jewels will be displayed for the sake of general pilgrim view. We are also contemplating to digitize all jewels of Lord and we have taken the tips from National Institute of Designs, Ahmedabad in this regard”, he added.
 
Later speaking to media persons after the programme, the EO said, TTD is contemplating to bring some changes in Vahan Darshan system especially on Garuda Seva day during the ensuing Navarathri Brahmotsavams. “We have also noticed some vital points to set up 12-14 giant screens for the sake of pilgrims”, the EO maintained.
 
TTD CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Sri Munirathnam Reddy and others were also present.
