DRIP WATER TECHNIQUE FOR SANDALWOOD PLANTATION-TTD EO
Tirumala, 25 October 2016: To prevent the wastage of water and to enable effective mechanism to grow sandal wood plantation in Tirumala, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, instructed the forest wing of TTD to opt Drip Irrigation system.
During the weekly review meeting held with Senior Officers of Tirumala in Annamaiah Bhavan on Tuesday, the EO instructed the Deputy Conservator of Forests Sri Sivaram Prasad to adopt this water saving mechanism for sandal wood plantation. He also instructed the engineering wing to complete the pipeline works to supply water to plants on ghat road and foot path routes.
PAC 4 AS BHAKTA NIVAS
The EO instructed the Engineering and PR department to popularise the PAC IV building as “Bhakta Nivas” through display or sign boards and taking up wide publicity among pilgrims. He also directed the Engineering wing to arrest the leakages in PACs in Tirumala and provide better facilities to pilgrims to stay with convenience. The EO instructed the concerned to purchase more mats for PACs.
OUTSOURCING COOKS FOR ANNAPRASADAM
TTD EO directed the Annaprasada wing to appoint cooks on outsourcing basis to cater the needs of the pilgrims in Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex(MTVAC).Taking a view on the series of fire mishap incidents that took place in Potu, he instructed the vigilance, potu and health officials to come out with a concrete mechanism to avoid such incidents in future including proper security measures, training potu workers and taking up advanced cleaning technique respectively.
WATER CONSERVATION TECHNIQUES
In the wake of heavy rush in Tirumala, the TTD EO instructed the Engineering wing to adopt advanced water conservation and water storage techniques. He also directed them to complete the white washing of all rest houses in Tirumala in a phased manner.
Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, Additional FACAO Sri O Balaji, Vigilance officers Sri Ravinder Reddy, Smt Vimala Kumari, SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy and other senior officers were also present.
