ELABORATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR EKADASI AND DWADASI

Tirumala, Jan 10: TTD has made elaborate arrangements of food and water distribution for Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi for the sake of multitude of visiting pilgrims in Tirumala.

As the heavy influx of footpath and general pilgrims are expected, TTD has set up food stalls and water points at different darshan routes which began from 6am on Friday itself. These additional services to pilgrims will continue till Dwadasi day.

Special food counters have been set up at Alipiri padalu, Srivari Mettu, Galigopuram and CRO. Meanwhile over 90 water points have been set up at VQC I and II, Rs.300, Narayanagiri Gardens queue lines etc.

Meanwhile special medical facilities have also been arranged by TTD and first aid counters have been set up at Pac II, KKC, inside temple, VQC I and II, ATC apart from Galigopuram, Aswini Hospital etc. Orthopedic surgeon from BIRRD, cardiologist from SVIMS have also been invited. While an ambulance has also been kept near Narayanagiri guest house to attend emergency services.

About 3500 Srivari Sevakulu, over 1000 police, 1500 vigilance sleuths ad 600 Scouts have been pressed into service of the pilgrims near queue lines, food points, water points, darshan area, waiting compartments round the clock from Friday noon till Sunday.

SPECIAL CULTURAL PROGRAMMES TO ENTRALL

The Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) wing of TTD has arranged special cultural programmes in connection with the twin auspicious days of Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi on January 11 and 12 respectively.

On January 11, there will be spiritual discourse from 2pm to 6pm at Nadaneerajana platform, followed by cultural programmes from 6pm till 11pm.

While on January 12, there will be Vishnu Sahasra Nama Parayanam during wee hours i.e. from 12am followed by Dasa Sahitya Project programmes till 4am. From 4am to 6am there will be Vedaparayana recitation by the students of Dharmagiri Vedapathashala, followed by Nadaswaram programme by the students of TTD run SV Music and Dance college.

In Asthana Mandapam on January 11, there will be cultural programme by Annamacharya project from 8pm to 10pm, followed by Harikatha between 10pm to 12am of January 12. There will Vishnu Sahasra Nama parayana from 12am to 2am on Vaikuntha Dwadasi Day.
