ELABORATE ARRANGEMENTS IN PLACE FOR ANNUAL BRAHMTOSAVAMS-TIRUMALA JEO

Tirumala JEO Sri K S Sreenivasa Raju on Friday inspected several places in Tirumala and personally monitored the pace of arrangements for the annual brahmotsavams which are almost nearing completion.

Later addressing media persons in Tirumala, the JEO said, elaborate arrangements are in place for the annual brahmotsavams which are slated to take place from 26th of this month to October 4.

“This year we are doing arrangements more systematically so that no pilgrim is put to any sort of inconvenience to take a glimpse of the procession of vahanams during brahmotsavams. As a part of this arrangement, we have increased the space of gallaries. The aged people and physically handicapped people darshan line in front of the temple will be shifted to the south side of the temple, in between bridge and ugranam in the next three days in newly constructed sheds, so as to erect galleries in this area”, he added.

JEO said, the floral and electrical arches are coming up in a spectacular way this year. The new attractions for this brahmotsavams will be widening of South Mada street, new Koluvu Mandapam, median in the outer Ring Road area with floral and grass beds giving a catchy view for the pilgrims etc., he added.

The JEO said there will be no privileged darshan to pilgrims from 26th of September till October 4 and no recommendation letters for accommodation will be accepted. “We are planning to hold a buffer stock of ten lakh laddus for this brahmotsavams”, he added.

Earlier the JEO inspected Kalyana Vedika, Vaibhavotsava Mandapam, rooms near GNC area etc.

SE II Sri Ramesh Reddy, Temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana, Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, GM Transport Sri Sesha Reddy and others were also present.
