EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IS EMPOWERMENT OF NATION-TTD EO
TIRUPATI, MARCH 8: The Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) Sri MG Gopal advocated that it is the empowerment of women which decides good fortune of a country.
Addressing the “International womens’ Day celebrations” organised by the women employees under the aegis of Welfare Department of TTD in Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati on Saturday, the EO said, when a man is educatged that family will prosper but when a woman is education the entire society will progress. “India always happened to be an epicentre of women empowerment starting from vedic period till date and stood as a role model to other women across the world”, he added.
Complimenting the women work force of TTD for their impeccable services in the development of temple management, The EO said, a committee has already been constituted in TTD with women officers to take care of the grievances of women employees and very soon a complaint cell exclusively for women work force will also be set up.
He also wished the girl students of TTD-run institutions to become IAS and IPS officers.
Earlier in his address Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, out of the strong work force of nine thousand odd regular employees in TTD almost 2500 constitute women employees which itself is a role model to other institutions not only in the country but also across the globe. “It is great to see that the employees of both genders have been working with team spirit and contributing to the growth of the institution”, he said.
For the first time TTD has invited expert speakers from various walks of life including teaching, medical, judiciary, police, Self Help Group and Cultural backgrounds who delivered thought provoking and informative speeches which are not only beneficial to students and women employees but also to every one. On this occasion TTD has also felicitated some veteran women who pioneered in their area of service.
Later the women employees who are going to retire by March next have also been felicitated while the cultural events caught the attention of every one with their uniqueness.
Deputy EO Welfare Sri Rami Reddy, women officers and employees of TTD were also present.
