CHIEF ELECTION COMMISSIONER OF INDIA OFFERS PRAYERS IN TIRUMALA SHRINE

TIRUMALA, 8 March 2014:  The Chief Election Commissioner of India Sri V.S.Sampath had laghu darshan of Lord Venkateswara like any other common pilgrim where he offered prayers to presiding deity inside the temple on Saturday morning.

At the entrance of the Srivari temple he was accorded warm welcome by the TTD Joint Executive Officer Sri K.S.Sreenivasa Raju and temple priests.

Later he offered prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara, Vakula mata, Ananda Nilayam Vimana Venkateswara, Bhashyakarla Sannidhi and Yoga Narasimha Swamy in the Sanctum Sanctorum.  After offering prayers the Vedic Pundits rendered Vedasirvachanam to the Chief Election Commissioner at Ranganayakula Mandapam. Later TTD Joint Executive Officer offered prasadams to the Chief Election Commissioner.

Dist Collector Sri K.Ramgopal, DyEO’s Sri Chinnamgari Ramana, Sri Venkataiah, OSD Sri Damodar and other officials were also present.
