EO INSPECTS NATURAL WATER TANKS IN AND AROUND TIRUPATI
TTD TO DEVELOP ENVIRONS SURROUNDING WATER BODIES
TIRUPATI, 26 November 2015: Following the instructions of AP CM Sri N Chandra Babu Naidu, the temple management of TTD is all set to take up the beautification works water bodies which are located in and around the temple city.
As a part of this activity, TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Thursday inspected various water bodies located in and around Tirupati and directed the Forest, Engineering and Estate officials of TTD to come out with an action plan on how to develop the environs surrounding the water bodies and make them useful for public.
The TTD EO along with Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar paved a whirl-wind visit to Vinayaka Sagar, Pedda Cheruvu, Poolavanigunta, Avilala Cheruvu and Peruru Banda.
Later speaking on this occasion he said, following the AP government’s orders, the district administration has handed over 11 natural water tanks to TTD for development. “Abiding to apex court orders, we will develop these water bodies negotiating of civic administration and horticulture departments. We will take up fencing, tree protection and other environmental friendly programmes inviting the expert advice in the respective areas. We also want to make the surrounding environs of these natural bodies as public friendly by developing walkers path, gardens etc.without disturbing the actual waterbody”, he observed.
CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy, SE 1 Sri M Ramesh Reddy, EE Sri Manohar, Estate Officer Sri Balakrishna, DFO Sri Sivaramprasad, PRO Dr T Ravi were also present.
