GEAR UP FOR RAMANAVAMI IN VONTIMITTA-TTD EO

Tirupati, 25 January 2016: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao on Monday instructed the officials concerned to complete the pending civil works in Vontimitta Ramalayam within the specified time and set up the stage for grandeur celebrations of the festival of Sri Rama Navami on April 15.

Reviewing with the senior officers of TTD in Tirupati in his chambers on Monday, he said, like Vontimitta temple, in Upamaka and Anantavaram temples also, the pending civil, electrical and other departmental works should completed within a stipulated time frame. “As we will be observing Srinivasa Kalyanam in Upamaka temple on March 18 and Pratyeka Utsavam in Anantavaram temple on March 10. So these temples should also get ready for the religious fete. Apart from the engineering works, the electrical illumination, floral decorations etc. should also be taken care of”, he instructed the concerned.

Later the EO said, the Pournami Visesha Veda Parayanam received huge response and appreciation from different quarters. We should organise more programmes of this kind. A separate page should be dedicated towards the promotion of vedas in Sapthagiri journal. Apart from the seven vedic schools of TTD, initiatives should be taken to bring other Vedic schools also under the affiliation of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University of TTD”, he added.

The EO also reviewed on the progress of works in SVIMS, BIRRD hospitals, Vishnu Nivasam Rest House and asked the officials concerned to give a progress report every week.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, CVSO Sri D Nagendra Kumar, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Additional FACAO Sri Balaji, DLO Sri D Venkatramana, All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao and other officers were also present.
