THIS FETE IS PERFORMED ON FIFTH DAY AS PER PANCHARATRA NORMS

TIRUCHANOOR, 12 December 2015: Giving a soothing relief to the Goddess who was tired with a hectic schedule of religious activities as a part of the nine-day celestial fete, Vasanthotsavam is performed with religious fervour on fifth day noon on Saturday.

CHILL-THRILL FETE:

The processional deity of Goddess Padmavathi Devi in Tiruchanoor was rendered the aromatic bath with as a part of this ritual. It was a visual treat for the devotees who witnessed the celestial beauty of goddess while rendering the bath with various aromatic ingredients.

UPASAMANOTSAVAM OR SHRAMAPARIHARA UTSAVAM:

Also known as Upasamanotsavam, this fete as per the norms of Pancharatra Agama as mentioned Sukha Samhita is performed on fifth day noon. This religious fete is also known as Shrama Parihara Utsavam. This festival depicts the grandeur of the Goddess.
