GOLDEN CHARIOT PROCESSION IN TIRUMALA

Tirupati, 1 Jan,2015: The procession of golden chariot has been carried out with grandeur on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadasi in Tirumala on Thursday.

Tens of thousands of women pulled the chariot chanting aloud “Govinda Govinda”. The entire premises of Tirumala echoed with the “Govinda Namas”. The devotees competed to pull the mammoth chariot with religious ecstasy.

TTD Specified Authority Chairman Sri JC Sharma, EO Sri Samba Siva Rao, JEO Tirumala Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and other officers, pilgrims took part in this fete which took pace between 9am to 10am.
