GOPUJA FROM OCTOBER 14 ON EVERY FRIDAY IN TIRUMALA
Tirupati, 12 October 2016: With an aim to take up the slogan of Vande Gomataram in a wide spread manner to save cow, the Gopuja henceforth will be observed on every friday in Tirumala starting from October 14 on wards, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.
Addressing media persons in his chambers at Madhavam Rest House in Tirupati on Wednesday, the TTD board chief said, as the biggest custodian of Hindu Sanatana Dharma, TTD will do its part in the protection of cows. “A state of art goshala is coming up near Palamaner which will lay focus on Desi breeds too”, he added.
Adding further he said, with the combined efforts of TTD, vigilance, police and APSRTC over eight lakh pilgrims have witnessed the mega religious festival of annual brahmotsavams in an unprecedented manner. “In spite of heavy pilgrim influx, the event passed away peaceful with out any mark of incident”, he expressed.
He said the Mega Exhibition organised by TTD has won the hearts of the multitude of visiting pilgrims during the annual fete. The services of Srivari Sevakulu, Scouts and Guides and the performances by bhajan groups, artistes are impeccable, he added.\
Briefing on future programmes, the chairman said, the honourable CM of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu will soon inaugurate the additional building in BIRRD hospital. “During this financial year we have given an aid of Rs.24cr to SVIMS hospital”, he said. The chairman said TTD will be offering financial aid to construct temples in 500 SC, SC and fishermen colonies across the state and for the same has released Rs.5cr in the first phase.
