GOVERNOR INAUGURATES BLOOD CAMP IN VEDIC UNIVERSITY _ ఎస్వీ వేద విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో రక్తదాన శిబిరాన్ని ప్రారంభించిన రాష్ట్ర గవర్నరు
TIRUPATI, OCTOBER 27: His Excellency, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Sri E.S.L. Narasimhan along with his wife Smt. Vimala Narasimhan, inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp at Rameshwar Bhavan in Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, in Tirupati on Wednesday.
H.E. the Governor, who was also the chancellor of the varsity, was accorded a ceremonious welcome at the entrance with Purnakumbham amidst the chant of Vedic mantras by priests. The varsity VC, Prof.S.Sudarshana Sharma and Registrar of varsity and JEO, Sri.N.Yuvraj received the Chancellor.
Addressing the Vedic students after inaugurating the camp, Sri Narasimhan said, “Among all the donations, blood donation is considered to be the most pious one. Our motto is to promote blood donation camps intensively in the universities. The students should voluntarily participate in the blood donation camps”, he said.
Further, he added “Today here we are doing a wonderful service in this Vedic university by organizing blood donation camps. Students should remember one fact if you donate blood you will be saving many other lives and students should come forward and carry this service movement ahead on a large scale”, he felt.
Later he appreciated the M.A. students, Sri Ramakrishna Srisha and Sri Narasimhadattu Sharma who voluntarily came forward to donate blood.
Earlier, the varsity VC Sri Sudarshana Sharma said, the camp is being organized in the university in view of Blood Donation Month.
The Governor also visited the Vedic exhibition organized in the varsity where in the replicas of Vaikhanasagama and Saivagama Yaga Shalas were put for display. About 300-year-old manuscripts were also placed in the expo. Later listening to the Vedic hymns recited by the students, the Governor said, “Students should learn Vedas which is the essence of Truth that is necessary to lead a respectable life”, he added.
The Vedic Varsity Assistant Registrar, Sri Dr Umesh Bhatt, OSD, Sri Devendra Kumar, TTD Chief Medical Officer Sri Prabhakar Rao, Director of SVIMS, Smt Dr Vengamma and others were also present.

తిరుపతి, 2010 అక్టోబర్‌ 27 : రాష్ట్రగవర్నరు శ్రీ ఇ.ఎస్‌.ఎల్‌. నరసింహన్‌ గారు తిరుపతిలోని శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వర వేద విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో రక్తదాన శిబిరాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు.
వర్శిటీలోని రామేశ్వరభవన్‌లో శిబిరాన్ని ప్రారంభించిన అనంతరం ఆయన వేద విద్యార్థులను ఉద్దేశించి మాట్లాడుతూ ”అన్ని దానాల్లో రక్తదానం చాలా శ్రేష్ఠమైనది ఎంతో మహత్వపూర్ణమైన రక్తదానాన్ని చేయడానికి విద్యార్థులు స్వచ్చంధంగా ముందుకు రావాలని ఆయన అన్నారు. మీరు రక్తదానం చేస్తే అది మరెందరికో జీవితాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తుందన్న సంగతిని గమనించండి అని తెలిపారు. విద్యార్థులు విద్యతోపాటు సేవాభావాన్ని కూడా అలవరచుకోవాలని గవర్నర్‌ అన్నారు. అనంతరం రక్తదానం చేసిన వేద విద్యార్థులు, శ్రీ నారాయణదత్తు శర్మ, శ్రీ రామకృష్ణ శ్రీష లను ఆయన అభినందించారు.
అనంతరం ఆయన వర్శిటీలో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన వేద ప్రదర్శనశాలను సందర్శించారు. ఇక్కడ ఏర్పాటు చేసిన వైఖానస ఆగమ, శైవాగమ యాగశాల నమూనాలను, ప్రదర్శనలో వుంచిన 300 ఏండ్లనాటి రామాయణ, మహాభారత తాళపత్ర గ్రంథాలను ఆసక్తిగా తిలకించారు. తరువాత వేద విద్యార్థులు చేసిన పారాయణాన్ని శ్రద్దగా ఆలకించి, విద్యార్థులు వేద విద్యను అభ్యసించి సత్యాన్ని గ్రహించాలన్నారు.
అంతకు పూర్వం రాష్ట్ర గవర్నరు దంపతులకు వర్శిటీ విసి, శ్రీ సన్నిధానం సుదర్శన శర్మ, రిజిష్ట్రార్‌ మరియు తితిదే జెఇఓ శ్రీ యన్‌.యువరాజ్‌ పూర్ణకుంభ స్వాగతం పలికారు. వర్శిటీ విసి శ్రీ సుదర్శన శర్మ మాట్లాడుతూ ఈ అక్టోబరు నెల రక్తదానానికి ఉద్దేశించింది కావడంతో ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని చేపట్టామన్నారు. రెడ్‌క్రాస్‌ సేవలో కీలక పాత్రను పోషిస్తున్న రాష్ట్ర గవర్నరు చేతుల మీదుగ ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రారంభించామన్నారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో వర్శిటీ సహాయ రిజిష్ట్రారు శ్రీ ఉమేష్‌ భట్‌, ఓ.ఎస్‌.డి.శ్రీ దేవేంద్రకుమార్‌, స్విమ్స్‌ డైరెక్టరు డాక్టర్‌ వెంగమ్మ, వర్శిటీ సిబ్బంది తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
