GRAND CONCLUSION OF PAVITHROTSAVAM AT SRI PAT

Tirupati, 16 Sep. 16: The holy annual event of Pavitrotsavam concluded at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple, Tiruchanoor with Maha Purnahuti and Pavitra Visarjan rituals amidst religious fervor and devotional elixir.

As part of the Pavitrotsavam Maha Purnahuti, Shanti Homa, Pavitra Visarjan, Kumbha Prokshana and Nivedana were performed as per Vedic traditions and Theertha Prasadam were distributed from morning 9.30am to 1.30pm

Later in the afternoon snapana thirumanjanam was performed for Goddess Sri Padmavathi with turmeric, sandal, milk, curd and variety of fruits. The Goddess was given chakra snanam at the Padma Pushkarini.

In the evening the utsava idols of Goddess Sri Padmavathi with Sri Krishna Swamy and Sri Sundararaja Swami will be taken around the four mada streets of Sri PAT. The holy ritual of Pavitrotsavam will conclude with Raksha Bandhan and felicitation of Acharya and Vedic pundits.

TTD Chairman Dr Chadalawada Krishnamurthy, TTD board members Sri P Hariprasad, Local temples Dy EO Sri Chinnamgari Ramana, AEO Sri Radhakrishna, and other temple officials and devotees participated in the event .
