GRAND FINALE OF PANCHAMI THEERTHAM CHAKRASNANAM AT PAT

• Hundreds participate in Panchami theertham Chakrasnanam at muhurat of 12.35 noon.
• Srivari Sari and jewels offered to Goddess Padmavathi
• Final snapanam Thirumanjanam of BTU performed
• Pushpa Yagam on December 5 at PAT.

Tiruchanoor, 4 December 2016: It was a grand finale to the Kartheeka Brahmotsavam of Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple today with the Panchami Theertham Chakrananam at the Padma Pushkarini enthralling the thousands of devotees.

Devotees were blessed by the Goddess Padmavathi procession from 6.30 to 8pm on the four mada streets for two hours in the morning before the utsava idols were taken to the Panchami theertham mandapam. Meanwhile the silk sari and other traditional offerings from the Srivari Temple, Tirumala also reached the Mandapam and were presented to the deity amidst chanting of vedic hymns. The utsava idol of Goddess Padmavathi was decorated with rare jewels from Srivari treasury like Shanku haram studded with diamonds, Golden waist belt studded with diamonds brought along with the silk offerings.

There after the last snapana thirumanjanam were performed for Goddess Padmavathi and Chakrathalwar with milk, curd, honey, turmeric, sandal paste and coconut water before the commencement of chakrasnanam at auspicious muhurtam of 12.35 noon.

Later as part of the finale of the Kartheeka Brahmotsavam of Padmavathi Ammavari Temple the Goddess will be paraded on mada streets on the Tiruchi vahanam ahead of the dwajarohanam will also be performed in the evening.
