GRAND RATHASAPATHAMI AT TTD SUB SHRINES IN TIRUPATI

SRI GOVINDARAJA SWAMY TEMPLE

Tirupati, 3 February 2017: At the Sri Govindraraja Swami Temple, Tirupati the presiding deity strode on seven vahanams and enthralled the devotees on the occassion of the Ratha Sapthami event.

The Sri Kapileswar Alwar was taken out in a procession at the Sri Kapileswara temple in the early hours and Chakra snanam was performed to the deity. The Vahanam sevas commenced at 5.30PM with the Surya Prabha Vahanam and the devotees had a feast darshan of the deity on Hamsa, Hanumantha, Pedda Sesha, Muthyapu Pandiri and Sarvabhupala vahanam. Later in the evening the deity gave darshan to devotees on the celestial Garuda Vahanam.

SRI KODANDARAMA SWAMY TEMPLE

For the first time in the history of TTD the Ratha sapthami event was celebrated at the Sri Kodandarama Temple with the Surya Prabha and Chandra prabha Vahanams.

DyEO of Sri KRT Smt Munilakshmi and superintendent Sri Umamaheswar Reddy and other officials of TTD participated.

At the Kalyana Venkateswara temple, Srinivasa Mangapuram

On the Ratha sapthami event the deity was taken out on Bangaru Tiruchi vahanam on the mada streets in the evening. At the Sri Kodandarama Temple, Chandragiri

The presiding deity of Sri Kodandarama was taken out in a procession on Tiruchi on the mada streets and also Asthanam was performed.

At the Narayanavanam templeof Sri Kalyana Venkateswara swami

The presiding deity was taken out on Surya prabha, Hamsa,Chinna Sesha, Pedda Sesham Kalpavruksha, and Thiruchi in the morning and afternoon. Later in the evening the deity was paraded on Chandraprabha vahanam and enthralled the devotees .

At the Vedanarayanaswami temple of Nagulapuram

From morning 6.00 PM the deity was paraded on Surya prabha, Hamsa,, Kalpavruksha and Thiruchi and later in the evening Pedda Sesha and Chandraprabha Vahanams.

The TTD conducted the Thiruveedhi festival at the Sri Prasanna Venkateswaraswami temple of Appalayagunta and Tiruchi was performed at the Sri Venugopalaswami temple in Karvetinagaram.
