GRAND SAHASRA KALASABHISHEKAM AND HANUMANTHA SEVA IN SRI KRT

Tirupati 4 July 2016: The Sahasra Kalashabhisekham was performed in a grand and colorful manner at the Sri Kodanda Rama temple at Tirupati this morning.

The Sahasra Kalasabhishekham was conducted between 6am to 8am this morning and the Hanumantha vahana seva will be performed later in the evening. The colorfully flower decked deity along with consort Sita and Lakshmana will be taken out on Hanumantha vahana along the four mada streets in the temple town.

Puranic legends highlight that Hanumantha is a deliver from evil thoughts and evil forces. According to Vaikhana Agama shastras the Amavasya, Pournima, Shukla Ekadasi, Krishna Ekadasi and the days of Sravanam and Punarvasu Nakshatrams have great religious and aesthetic values.

Dy EO Smt Munilakshmi, Temple superintendent Sri Uma Maheswar Reddy, temple priests and others participate in the event.

KALYANOTSAVAM IN SRI KRT ON JULY 5

The Kalyanotsavam of Sri Kondarama and his consort Sita will be performed in a grand manner at the Sri Sri KRT on July 5th.

The Kalyanam is organised in a colorful manner at 11am on the day of Punarvasu nakshatram when Sri Rama was born. The desirous couple could participate for a payment of Rs.500 only .The participants will be presented Uttariyam(khanduva),Blouse piece and anna prasadam. All the participant devotees should observe of dress code of traditional attire

Later in the evening utsava idols of Sri Rama Sita and Lakshman will be taken in a procession on the mada streets of the temple at 5.30pm and further accorded Unjal seva at the near by Sri Ramachandra Pushkarini.
