HASSLE-FREE WATER AND POWER SUPPLY DURING BTUs

Tirumala, 28 September 2016: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju instructed the water works and electricity departments of engineering wing to ensure uninterrupted, hassle-free water and power supply to the pilgrims during the annual brahmotsavams.

A review meeting was held in filter house in Tirumala with Engineering officials on Wednesday. After the meeting, speaking with media persons, the JEO said, the TTD has set ready with necessary measures for executing these tasks of ensuring continuous water supply and power generation to the multitude of visiting pilgrims during brahmotsavams. “On Garuda Seva Day alone nearly the water consumption stands as 32lakh gallons as per our previous experience. This year we will be using the pipe line which is completed at the new srivari seva sadan complex for the sake of the pilgrims. With the blessings of Almighty, all our reservoirs are full with water due to rainfall last year. However I urge the pilgrims not to waste water unnecessarily as every drop of water is precious”, he added.

Later he said, new generators have been procured by TTD for brahmotsavams. “In the case of sudden breakdown of power, they will work as alternative with out causing any inconvenience to the pilgrims”, he maintained.

SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, SE Electricals Sri Venkateswarulu, EE Water Works Sri Srinivasa Rao, Divisional Engineer Electrical Sri Chandrasekhar and others were also present.
