HUGE DEVOTEES VISIT TO PHOTO EXIBITIONS- PRO TTD DRI RAVI

Tirumala, 22 September 2015: The Public Relations Department has has functioned as a bridge between management and the print/electronic media to ensure smooth and successful conduction of the Brahmotsavams, says Dr T Ravi, the PRO.

Speaking to reporters at the Media Center as part of Brahmotsavam to appraise media about the role played by each department,he said a ultra modern media center,with WiFi and internet networked computers with software for speedy transmission of videos had been set up.

He said the media personnel were also provided all amenities like rooms,snacks,meals and beverages to support their rigorous activity of scribes covering the Brahmotsavam.

Dr Ravi said the photo exhibition highlighting the journey of Tirumala through ages was the hall mark which had the highest foot fall. ‘We displayed rare photographs of ghat roads, temple and other structures depicting the journey of Tirumala over years.

He said the voluntary corps of Srivari Sevak was another hall mark of his departments contribution.What began in 2000 with just 195 volunteers,the corps had provided nearly 6,38,171 Srivari Sevaks in service of TTD till date.Among them were 4,13,321 female and 2,24,850 male sevaks and most of them were from Telangana,Tamil Nadu, Kerala,Odisha,Maharashtra,West Bengal,Jharkhand and New Delhi.

Dr Ravi said the Srivari sevaks served at all locations – vigilance, health, laddu prasadam, parakamani,temple, transport, kalyana katta , book stalls,medical and four mada streets.’So far 27,557 have rendered parakamani seva and 14,453 in laddu prasada seva in 2015’ he added.

In recognition of the services and contribution of the Srivari Seva corps at Tirumala and also Tirupati,the TTD has plans to construct a separate Srivari Seva Sadan,
