”IF RAIN RECEDES TWO WHEELERS CAN BE ALLOWED FROM NOV 18 ONWARDS ON SECOND GHAT”- EO TO CE

Tirumala, 17 November 2015: The TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao instructed the Chief Engineer of TTD Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy to allow the two wheelers to operate on Second Ghat Road from November 18 onwards if the rain recedes, by making some precautionary barricading measures near fifth curve on second ghat road.

Reviewing with the senior officers of TTD at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, the EO said, the two wheelers can be allowed through second ghat road without diverting them through link road, if the rain stalls from Wednesday onwards. He also directed them to complete the Srivari Mettu Footpath route repair works on a fast pace and make it available for the pedestrian pilgrims from November 19 onwards.

The EO also instructed the Engineering officials to see that the repair works in second ghat road progressing from fifth curve where the incidence of boulders caused heavy damage to roads, be completed by Sunday. “If the road works are completed and if the rain subsidies completely by that time, we can open up the road from November 23 onwards”, he added. He also instructed them to complete the leakages created due to incessant to various buildings in Tirumala. The Executive Officer told the temple officials to think of an advanced method to carry out coins bags of Parakamani than the existing system.
