Tiruapti, 10 April 2016: The beauty, charm and elegance of Lord Sri Rama enhanced by many foods when He took celestial ride on the bight Suryaprabha VAHANAM on the seventh day morning of the ongoing Navahnika Brahmotsavams on Sunday.

LORD RAMA BELONGS TO SOLAR DYNASTY: Interestingly Lord Sri Rama was the 81st successor of the Ikshvaku dynasty, which is also known as Surya Vamsa (the Solar dynasty). Ikshvaku was the son of Lord Surya.

It is believed Treta Yuga lasted 1,296,000 years back. There were three avatars of Lord Vishnu in Treta Yuga – Vamana, Parashurama and Rama. The name ‘Rama’ means living on ideal principles. Lord Rama is called Maryada Purushottama; an epitome of the Perfect Man or Lord of Self-Control.

Lord Sri Rama’s reign is known as the Rama Rajya which lasted for 11,000 years. During this period, people were healthy, holy, satisfied and lived with complete peace and harmony. Rama ruled the whole earth without using military force as all kings submitted themselves to him.
By riding on Surya PRABHA VAHANAM, Lord Sri Rama once again exhibits the mightiness of his dynasty and the ruling which he offered to the people. And blesses the devotees that he is always there to replicate the same ruling for them.
