“TTD IS A ROLE MODEL TEMPLE MANAGEMENT”-CJI

TIRUMALA, 10 Apr. 16: Describing Tirumala as the role model Devasthanam in the country in terms of pilgrim crowd management and cleanliness, the Honourable Chief Justice of India Justice TS Thakur complimented the temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthnams for maintaining a perfect system of providing darshan and other amenities to pilgrims.

The CJI of Supreme Court had darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Sunday along with Supreme Court Judge Justice NV Ramana. On his arrival at the main entrance of the temple, he was accorded warm welcome with temple honours (Isthikaphal). One of the chief priests of Tirumala temple Dr AV Ramana Deekshitulu explained him about the importance of the main deity and the significance of various ornaments being adorned to the Lord.

Later the CJI was honoured with Sesha Vastram followed by Vedasirvachanam in Ranganayakula Mandapam by vedic pundits. TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurty, EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju presented teertha prasadams and lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara to the CJI Sri TS Thakur and to Justice NV Ramana.

SYSTEMATIC MANAGEMENT BY TTD:CJI

After darshan the CJI complimented TTD for taking care of each and every pilgrim devotee who visits Tirumala shrine for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. I have been coming to temple from the past 27 years and as CJI I paved visit to Lord Balaji along with my family and kin. I observed a lot of change and development in every aspect. I am very happy at the way the things are maintained with perfection by the temple management. Here every pilgrim is taken care of. TTD stands role model to others in terms of pilgrim management and cleanliness”, he added.

Later at Sri Krishna Guest House, the CJI learnt from TTD EO how the figures of pilgrims who had darshan every day being maintained. The EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao informed him about the different categories of darshan including on-line, footpath and sarva darshan. Based on the tickets issued we calculate the Rs.300, Rs.50 and footpath darshan while on the number of laddu tokens issued we generate the actual figures of sarva darshan pilgrims”, the EO said. CJI complimented TTD for ensuring perfection in pilgrim crowd management in spite of over several thouands visiting temple for darshan of Lord Venkateswara every day.
