Inauguration of Archaka Training classes to Dalitha Community

Tirupati, 20 April 2010:Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam have taken up the task of training tribals and Dalits as archakas in temples.

The objective is to popularise and spread Sanathana Hindu Dharma and inspire the weaker sections to become partners in the propagation of Hindu dharma Pracharam.

Dr N.Yuvaraj, Joint Executive Officer, TTDs addressed the  3rd batch of Training Classes in “IDOL WORSHIP” for members of the Dalitha community at SVETA Bhavan on Tuesday morning. Addressing the trainees he exhorted them to focus on not only the religious practices but also on the socially relevant issues in their region while they go back for practicing what they learnt.

The TTD has already trained two batches of archakas hailing from the tribal and Dalit communities. The third batch will bring the total of trained non-Brahmin archakas to almost 500.

TTD SEVTA Director Sri Bhuman also participated in the inauguration of the training classes.
