“LET US TAKE THE SPIRIT FROM OUR LEADERS AND ACHIEVE OUR GOALS”

Tirupati, 15 August 2014: TTD Executive Officer, Sri MG Gopal said, “India is the land of Morality and Spirituality and it is this spirit which led the National Leaders to march with their goal attaining freedom to this great country by sacrificing their lives”, he added.

After hoisting the National Flag, in his 68th Independence Day address at the Parade Grounds behind TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati on Friday, the TTD EO called up on the strong work force of TTD to take the spirit from the great national leaders and attain the goal of serving the devotees with commitment.

The TTD EO who advocated that the management is committed towards giving importance to four priority areas including providing hassle free darshan to multitude of visiting pilgrims, performing rituals inside Srivari temple as per Vaikhanasa Agama without any deviation, protecting the ecology of Tirumala and protecting-promoting Vedic Education which is the base of Hindu Sanatana Dharma. Further elaborating on the achievements of TTD during last one year he said, “We have finally succeeded in winning the hearts of majority of pilgrims with the three-layered Darshan system inside sanctum sanctorum. Now we are concentrating on how to minimize the waiting hours of the pilgrims in the compartments. Very soon we are going to introduce advance booking of Rs.300 tickets with specified time slots”, he added.

On the development front we have initiated many steps including fire safety mechanisms by deploying 186 firefighting men, set up 108 inches televisions in all compartments so that the pilgrims can view the various sevas that are being performed to Lord Venakteswara in Srivari temple on live while waiting in the compartments for their turn for darshan, plans are under way to set up 2000 CCTVs at vital points around Tirumala as a part of beefing up of security measure, plantation of sandalwood trees at a cost of Rs.7cr, many developmental activities in sub-shrines of TTD at Tirupati, Tiruchanoor, Appalyagunta, Mangapuram and many more, encouraging vedic education through Kumara-Adhyapaka Scheme, providing pension benefits to widows of vedic scholars, providing financial aid to around 113 vedic institutions across the country etc.

The EO also said, dharmic programmes like Srinivasa Kalyanams, Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams, Managudi have garnered immense accolades from masses. Even the programmes like Sadacharam, Subhapradham aimed to instill moral values among the children was also a huge hit. So these programmes will be continued with much more enthusiasm in future”, he added.
Citing a recent real incident which clearly proved the miracle of Lord Venkateswara where in a dumb boy gained his speech after 18 long years and said, Lord is always there to help if we pray Him with total surrender and execute our jobs with devotion”, he added.

Later the EO distributed meritorious certificates and medallions to the staff who exhibited their talent in putting off the massive forest fire that took place in Seshachala ranges in April.
