JEO TAKES PART IN “PRACTICAL BRAHMOTSAVAMS” AND VANAM-MANAM AT VEDAPATHASHALA

Tirumala, 29 July 2016: Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju took part in the Vanam-Manam programme as well the practical brahmotsavams that were held in the premises of Dharmagiri Veda Pathashala on Friday.

Later speaking to media he said, the Vanam – Manam programme has been started off in a big way at various places in Tirumala, following the massive plantation programme call given by Honourable CM of AP Sri N Chandrababu Naidu.

“In the next two day we will plant over 80 thousand saplings across Tirumala. We are prepared to distribute saplings to other organisations if they come forward. So far we have distributed two lakh redsanders saplings to farmers and other institutions”, he added.

BRAHMOTSAVAMS PRACTICAL IS INNOVATIVE

Meanwhile the JEO poured in appreciation on the students and faculty of Dharmagiri Vedapathashala for organising five day brahmotsavams in their premises as a part of “practicals” to the students who have taken up Vaikhanasa Agama course.

The JEO said, the thinking of the students to conduct Surya Prabhavahanam, Garuda Vahanam out of card boards and cloth is commendable. “They have performed Dhwajarohanam on July 26, Garuda Seva on July 28, Kalyanotsavam and Suryaprabha Vahanam today and will conclude with Chakrasnanam on July 30. I appreciate their initiative and the encouragement provided by the principal and other faculty members”, he added.

Principal Sri KSS Avadhani and other faculty, students were also present.
