KAPILA TEERTHAM GEARING UP FOR KARTHIKA DEEPAM ON NOVEMBER 25

Tirupati, 23 November 2015: With the most important festivals in the month of Karthika, the Karthika Deepam which is scheduled to take place on 25th of this month, the famous shrine is gearing up for the celestial occasion in a big way.

On this auspicious day, the daily rituals will commence by 3am with special puja and from 6am onwards, the devotees will be allowed for darshan. Meanwhile in the evening between 5:30pm and 6:30pm, Karthika Deepotsavam-the festival of celestial lights will be observed in the auspicious constellation of Krittika Star on November 25.

On the same day night between 8pm and 8:30pm, the utsava murthies of Sri Kapileswara Swamy and Sri Kamakshi Ammavaru will be brought to Sri Krishna Mandapam and “Jwala Thoranam”-Karthika Deeparadhana will be performed in front of the processional deities.
