KAREERI ISTHI CONCLUDES ON A GRAND RELIGIOUS NOTE

Tirumala, 2 June 2017: The Kareeri Isthi-Varunajapa-Parjanya Shanti Yagam concluded on a grand religious note in Tirumala on Friday in the presence of Kanchi Mutt Seer Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamy.

The unique Yagam which commenced at Paruveta Mandapam in Tirumala on May 29 with Maha Sankalpam, concluded in Sri Varahaswamy temple with Maha Purnahuti.

Speaking to media persons, TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal said, “With this Maha Yagam meant to appease rain God Varuna, we are anticipating good rains soon. About 30 ritwiks hailing from Southern India performed this Yagam with utmost devotion. May Lord bless all of us with good showers and prosperity. Especially there should not be any dearth for drinking as well farm water and the farmers should prosper well. If they are happy with their produce then every one will be happy”, he added.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju said, this time apart from the Yagam, Amrita Varshini and Virata Parva Parayanam were also arranged by TTD for good results.

Temple DyEO Sri Kodandarama Rama Rao, Parakamani DyEO Sri Rajendrudu and other officers were also present.
