LAKSHA BILWARCHARNA AT SRI KAPILESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE

Tirupati, 10 November 2014: As a part of the month-long religious activity which is underway in the famous Lord Shiva temple at Kapilateertham in Tirupati, Laksha Bilwarchana will take place on Tuesday.

Since the month of Karthika happens to be auspicious for the Saivaite temple, TTD has taken up a month-long homam ritual in this ancient temple which began on 25th of October. Special Puja will be rendered with one lakh Bilwa leaves(bael tree leaves-Aagle marmelos) which is considered to be most favourite leaves to appease Lord Shiva as per Hindu mythology. This ritual will take place from 6am to 12noon.
