LORD GOVINDARAJA PROVIDES A “CHILL FEEL” TO DEVOTEES ON CHANDRAPRABHA

Tirupati, 6 June 2017: On the evening of seventh day of the annual brahmotsavams in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple the processional deity of Lord was seated atop Chandra Prabha Vahanam providing a chill thrill to multitude of devotees.

Chandra stands for promoting medicinal values among living beings including plants. As per the scripts in the “Purushottam Praptiyagam” Chandra is described as Lord Vishnu Lord Sri Krishna describes Himself as “Nakshatrana Aham Shashi” (I am the moon among another stars) indicating the presence of moon as an integral part of the celestial system.

The verse sight of Lord on Chandraprabha vahanam delighted the devotees in pleasant evening on Tuesday.

H.H.Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala Mutt, H.H.Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy,Local Temples DyE.O Smt Varalakshmi, Exe Engineer Sri Jagadesswara Reddy and large number of devotees took part in this function.
