LORD ON MUTYAPU PANDIRI VAHANAM GIVES A SOOTHING FEEL TO HIS DEVOTEES

Tirumala, 16 October 2015: On the evening of the third day of the ongoing Navaratri Brahmotsavams, Lord Venkateswara went on a ride on the pearl studded palanquin along with His consorts Sri Devi and Bhu Devi.

The 26th chapter of Padmapuranam refers to an umbrella made of pearls giving shade to Lord Vishnu.The palanquin decorated with a canopy of pearls which is said to be a symbol of purity and royalty.

The shining white pearls on the vahanams which glitter in the bright focused lights of the four mada streets during the procession present a delightful and celestial experience to devotees.

The TTD has organized a jumboorie of cultural programs on the four mada streets for the devotees to keep them engaged as the Vahanam with deity made a spiritual entrance slowly.

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEO Tirumala Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, TTD Trust board member Dr Hariprasad and others were also present. While tens of thousands of pilgrims witnessed the grandeur of Lord on Muthyapupandiri Vahanam on the third day night with utmost devotion.
