LORD VENKATESWARA IS “SHRAVANA PRIYA”-SRI N MUKTESWARA RAO
TIRUPATI, AUGUST 1: Lord Sri Venkatesawara is not only “Alankaram Priya” but also “Sravana Priya” said TTD All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao.
The sixth Audio CD in the series of Bala Ganamritham was released on Saturday evening in Annamacharya Kalamandiram. Sri Muktheswara Rao who graced the occasion as Chief Guest said, Shravanam happens to be the birth star of Lord Venkateswara. ” In Sanskrit, “Shravanam” means “To Listen”. Lord wishes to listen to fine music and Sankeertans and hence is also known as “Nada Lola”, “Shravanam Priya”. So the situation aptly suits the occasion and I compliment the SV Recording Project of TTD for making it as a practice to release a new audio CD on every Shravanam Nakshatram day”, he observed.
Sri Rao also complimented Sri S Vasu Rao for training the children to sing devotional songs in a melodious way. He wished the child artist Ms. Bhavan Sri Geethika who has rendered some new songs of Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya with beautiful voice.
Later Ms. Geethika rendered some songs including Choodaro…Choodaro in Mohana Ragam, Sada Sakalamu Sampadale…in Saramathi, Evvaru Kartalu Karu…in Nilambari and others.
The audience were spell bound by her melodious rendition of sankeertans.
