MANAGUDI “GOVINDA RAKSHA KANKANAMS” GETS DIVINE BLESSINGS

Tirumala, 20 August 2015: The sacred “Govinda Raksha Kanakanams” which are to be distributed to people present in 23 districts of Telugu States on August 29, Shravana Pournami Day, received the divine blessings of Lord Venkateswara on Thursday.

The procession of Managudi Kankanams began on a religious note at Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple and lead to Sri Vari temple amidst the percussion of Mangala Vaidyams. The sacred threads were carried over head by TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO Sri Nagendra Kumar, HDPP Chief Sri Prayaga Ramakrishna inside temple and were placed at the holy feet of the presiding deity.

Later speaking to media persons, the JEO said, TTD along with AP Endowments department will be observing this Seventh phase of celestial fete across 54000 temples in the two Telugu Speaking States on August 29. “All these Kankanams will be dispatched to the tempLes of respective areas by August 24. These Govinda Raksha Kankanams” will be distributed to devotees of respective distrits on this holy occasion”, he maintained.

HDPP AEO Sri Nageswara Rao, Programme Co-ordinated Sri Sairam were also present.
