“MANAGUDI SARE” GETS THE DIVINE BLESSINGS

Tirumala, 28 October 2014: The sacred items meant for sixth phase of “Managudi” programme which is slated to take place in the temples across the states of Andhra Pradesha and Telengana November 6, were placed at the holy feet of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Tuesday.


Earlier the fete started with the procession of sacred items including “Kankanams”(holy threads), Pasupu (Turmeric) and Kumkuma (Vermilion) packets from Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple to Srivari temple.

After coming out of the temple, TTD EO Sri MG Gopalid, the religious programme of Sixth phase of Managudi will be conducted jointly by TTD and AP Endowments Department in over 54,000 temples across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telengana and also in Tamilnadu and Karantaka on November 6 on the auspicious occasion of Karthika Pournami. The sacred items meant for this religious fete were placed at the Divine feet of Lord Venkateswara for His blessings before they were being dispatched to the respective temples, he added.

“The people should voluntarily take part in this mass spiritual programme and it should be specifically observed in the ancient and abandoned temples which are void of Dhoopa-Deepa-Naivedyam. Then only the purpose of the programme whose main aim to revive the past glory to the Hindu shrines which are the epitome of socio-religious-cultural centres of our society””, he maintained.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, HDPP Special Officer Sri S Raghunath, Temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana and others were also present.
