TTD EO ANNOUNCES Rs.8LAKHS EX-GRATIA TO DECEASED PILGRIMS

TIRUMALA, OCTOBER 28: TTD EO Sri MG Gopal has announced Rs.8lakhs ex-gratia to the mother and infant duo who accidentally succumbed to death following an electrocution in the Rs.300 special entry darshan line on Monday evening.

TTD EO who inspected the incident site on Tuesday along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and Chief Engineer Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy at TBC 129 in Tirumala and said that it was a heart-rending incident which engulfed the lives of Smt Lakshmi(35) hailing from Tiruvallur of Tamilnadu along with her year old infant. “We will take all the measures to see such incidents do not happen in future”, he added.

The EO also announced an ex-gratia of Rs.4lakhs each to the deceased pilgrims.
