MORE ANNAMAIAH SANKEERTHANA CDs IN TWO YEARS-TTD EO

Tirupati, 18 February 2015: TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao asserted that TTD will compose as many Annamaiah Keerthans as possible in the next two years.

Addressing the Annamaiah Sankeerthana Sikhamani CD release function which took place in Annamacharya Kalamandiram at Tirupati on Wednesday evening, the EO said, out of 32000 songs composed by the saint poet only 17 thousand plus have been identified while music has been composed only to 1700 keerthans.

He said, TTD would speed up the recording process and will compose more number of CDs in the next two years. “We are planning to bring out more and more number of CDs through Veda Recording Project without compromise on quality. Öur target is to compose more songs in the next two years which is more than what we have brought out in the past 25years. During Shravana Nakshatra of Every month, one CD or more will be released”, he maintained.

Earlier, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, TTD is contemplating to conduct competitions at village level which will be broadcasted by SVBC.

Renowned artistes, Sri Saluru Vasu Rao will identify child artistes and compose songs with them while Sri Ramachary and Sri Balasuramanyam will encourage the youth, he maintained.

Annamacharya Project Incharge Director and Special Grade Deputy EO Sri Munirathnam Reddy, renowned Annamacharya artist Dr G Balakrishna Prasad were also present.
