TTD FOREST STAFF ARRESTS FOREST FIRE

Tirumala, 18 February 2015: In a timely gesture, a team of forest squad identified and arrested man-made forest on Wednesday.

According to TTD DFO Sri Siva Rama Prasad, TTD forest staff identified flames spreading in the Reserve Forest Area adjacent to Bio-trim in Tirupati on Wednesday evening around 3:45pm which is over one kilo meter from TTD forest land.

However, the Forest Range Officer Sri YC Reddy along with 40 other members reacted quickly and put off the flames. Forest Muzdoors Srinivasa Reddy, Sri Virupaksha, Sri Koti also actively took part in putting off the forest fire.
