TIRUMALA, JULY 12:  The massive new annadanam complex which was constructed by TTD at Tirumala with a catering capacity to serve free food to nearly one lakh pilgrims, will soon have mouth watering recipes for its visiting devotees of Lord Venkateswara, said TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam.

The TTD EO along with other top brass officials went along the common pilgrim queue line in Annadanam complex and inspected the catering service on Tuesday. The EO also had an interaction with a few pilgrims about the quality of food and service. Later speaking to media persons he said, “the TTD is now contemplating to provide much tastier food to the visiting pilgrims and our officials are already on the job. Once the menu chart is ready we will go for the new delicacies soon”, he added.

The EO expressed satisfaction over the mode of service in new annadanam complex by staff and volunteers. “Our motto is to offer better service to pilgrims. Initially there was 40 minute gap in between service to service. We have now reduced the waiting slot to 15minutes in Annadanam. By streamlining our queue set up and speeding up the food service, we will hopefully reduce the waiting time to 5minutes soon”, he added.

Quoting “Annam Parabrahma Swaroopam”, the EO said, the food should not be wasted either by pilgrims or by staffs since it is considered divine. “We have also introduced the recitation of Annapurna Devi sloka before the commencement of consumption of food by pilgrims. We are also planning to set up a shoe-keeping counter for the pilgrims out side the Annadanam Complex soon”, he maintained.

The EO said, at present two massive halls in Annadanam complex are catering service and in the next fortnight time the remaining two halls will also get ready to cater service to the pilgrims in a full-fledged manner.
