SRIVARI SEVAKULU TO DISTRIBUTE MILK IN COMPARTMENTS FROM JUNE

FEED BACK REPORTS ON EVERY DAY BASIS FOR IMPROVEMENTS

Tirumala, 30 May 2017: The facilities including Annaprasadam distribution and cleaning will be improved further in the compartments of VQC 1 and 2 from June onwards, said Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

The weekly review meeting with all HoDs in Tirumala took place at Annamaiah Bhavan on Tuesday. The JEO reviewed on all developmental activities related to each and every department in detail.

Later briefing the media persons on the important deliberations, the JEO said, the pilgrim rush to Tirumala has immensely increased this May when compared to last year. “The TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal during his recent inspections has given some instructions to provide better facilities to the pilgrims waiting in compartments of VQC I and II. Following the feed back reports we have decided to introduce milk distribution to infants and children waiting in compartments of VQC through female Srivari Seva volunteers. “They will carry milk jars and cups and supply milk to children in each compartment on requirement. We are also designing new aprons to Srivari Sevakulu for this particular service”, he added.

The JEO also said, very soon display boards will placed in the compartments to impart better information to pilgrims with respect Darshan hours. “We have already began making announcements in Alipiri foot path routes regarding pilgrim situation for the information of the pilgrims”, he said.

“Apart from these arrangements, we are negotiating with service providers to keep advanced telephone facility in all compartments. We are also contemplating to restrict the time limit of each phone call to two minutes for the benefit of pilgrims. Today we had a first level meeting with BSNL, Aircel, Vodafone, Idea and Reliance Jio. By next week we will finalise the arrangement”, he asserted.

SE II Sri Ramachandra Reddy, VGOs Sri Ravindra Reddy, Smt Sada Lakshmi and other officers were also present.
