MORE QUALITATIVE RICE FROM RICE MILLERS ASSOCIATION OF AP AND TS SOUGHT

Tirupati, 6 May 2015: TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao has sought the Rice Millers Association of the twin Telugu speaking states to supply more qualitative rice to the temple management.

Reviewing with the Rice Millers Association of AP and Telengana in the Meeting hall of Administrative building in Tirupati on wednesday evening, the EO said the number of visiting pilgrims to Tirumala and Tirupati are increasing day by day and there is need to provide tastier Annaprasadam to them. “For which we require the supply of better quality of rice which can be stored for a period of fortnight with qualitative standards”, he maintained.

The Rice Millers also expressed their co-operation to supply rice with more enhanced quality.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Additional FACAO Sri O Balaji, AP Rice Millers Association President Sri Gummadi Venkateswara Rao, Telegana Rice Millers Association Chief Secretary Sri Mohan Reddy and other district representatives were also present.

Meanwhile Sri Rajeshwara Rao from Khammam donated Rs.10lakhs towards cottage donation scheme and handed over the cheque to TTD EO.
