MORE RO PLANTS TO WOO DEVOTEES IN SUMMER

Tirumala, 23 February 2016: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) is all set to set up more Jalaprasadam units in the places where pilgrim congregation is more in Tirumala for this summer.

During the review meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday, the EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao has directed the engineering wing to set more RO (Reverse Osmosis) plants to quench the thirst of the pilgrims including CRO, RBRH Bus stand, Govindanilayam RH, near Alipiri toll gate points before first week of April.

Later the EO instructed them to complete pending works including up ghat road repair works, Paruveta Mandapam enroute works etc by second week of April. “The erection of sheds, coolant paints and other heat resistant measures should also be completed in the next fortnight’s time”, he added.

Instructing the procurement and Annaparasadam officials, the EO said, they should also provide use and throw spoons to the pilgrims to enable them eat safely hot annaprasadam items like Sambar rice, Pongal, Bisibella bath etc. especially to those who are waiting in queue lines. “It also provides a hygienic practice since the pilgrims in queue lines have a little scope to go out and wash hands”, EO observed.

The EO has instructed the PRO Dr T Ravi to take up two more counters in Laddu Prasadam Complex to sell Laddu covers to be operated with the help of Srivari Sevakulu.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO Sri D Nagendra Kumar, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy and other officers were also present.
