MS CONTRIBUTION TO TTD- LANDMARK FOR EVER- TTD EO

Tirupati, 13 September 2016: TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao today extolled the contribution of Carnatic music exponent MS Subbulakshmi as a land mark in devotional music and bhakti culture in the entire universe.

Participating in the inaugural of the three day long music festival organised by the TTD on the occasion of centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna and Asthana vidwan of TTD for life, MS Subbalakshmi he said the Venkatesha Suprabhatam and Balaji Ratna sung by her 53 years ago was still a house hold rhythm.

He appealed to SVBC and other projects and the SV Music and Dance college to invite excellent artists of good quality for all TTD programs so that talent of such skilled exponents is brought out for benefit of music lovers across the world. There is no dearth of funds in patronisation experts of devotional music in service of Brahmanda Nayaka asthan of Lord Venkateswara, he added.

Later Dr Sambasiva Rao also felicitated the Ranjani and Gayatri sisters who performed at the Mahati auditorium. As part of the music festival Nada kacheri by Sri L Keshayya of Kadapa was rendered in the evening followed by gatra kacheri by Chennai sisters Ranjani and Gayatri.
