NO SEEGHRA DARSHAN ON OCTOBER 7 AND 8-TTD EO

TTD CANCELS ALL PREVILEGE DARSHAN DURING BRAHMOTSAVAMS

Tirumala, 27 Sep. 16: Owing to Garuda Seva on October 7 and Perattasi Saturday on October 8, TTD has completely cancelled issuance of Rs.300 seeghra darshan tickets on these two days while on remaining days only a limited number of tickets will be issued in view of pilgrim rush during annual brahmotsavams of Tirumala Srivaru from October 3 to 11, said TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao.

After a high level review meeting along with Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju and other HoDs in Annamaiah Bhavan at Tirumala, the EO briefed media on the arrangements for the big fete.

NO PREVILEGE DARSHANS

Speaking to media the EO said there will be no privilege darshans including physically challenged, aged, infants and parents etc. during the nine days. “Even the VIP break darshan is also restricted to only protocol VIPs”, he maintained. Adding further the EO said, we are contemplating to ensure a convenient darshan and vahana darshan to our pilgrims.

BAN ON TWO WHEELERS

While on Garuda Seva Day both the Ghat Roads and foot path routes will remain open 24X7 for the convenience of the multitude of pilgrims. “On this day we have completely banned movement of two wheelers keeping the safety of pilgrims in view. In the case of vehicular break downs in ghat roads, if any, we are deploying eight repair points with personnel to address the problems immediately.

MORE TRIPS BY APSRTC

Apart from this the APSRTC buses will operate 3500 trips which are 1500 trips in addition to normal days for the conveyance of the pilgrims. With this arrangement about 1.75lakh pilgrims can be transported on G-Day. Even free buses will operate to transport pilgrim to both foot path routes and even to Balaji Bus stand and main bus stand.

SPECIAL ANNAPRASADAM ARRANGEMENTS FOR G-DAY

We have designed a specific menu to serve to the pilgrims who will be waiting in the galleries since morning during Garuda Seva day. Milk, buttermilk, different food menu including Tomato rice, Vermicelli upma, Pulihora etc. will be served to them in galleries from 12 noon on wards for every one hour. While the Annaprasadam complex remains open from 8am till 1:30am on Garuda Seva Day.

ELECTRICAL AND CIVIL WORKS

Pucca barricading to galleries with perfect Entry and Exit points, gates etc. have been furnished. About 30 LED screens will be placed at all the important points and at galleries for the sake of the pilgrims. Apart from this experts have been engaged to make attractive illumination arches for the fete.

PROPER SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS

TTD vigilance and police in co-ordination have made elaborate security arrangements with vigilance and police sleuths to ensure pilgrim safety and also for crowd management during vahanam procession. Proper parking facility for two-wheelers in Alipiri and Srivari Mettu is also been planned.

CULTURAL PROGRAMMES

Unique cultural programmes with nationally reputed artistes will perform during brahmotsavams. Especially on Garuda Seva Day, since the pilgrims will be waiting in galleries since morning to catch the glimpse of Garuda Vahanam, special bhajana programme has been designed which will be performed from 12noon to 4pm.

CONCRETE PLAN FOR BRAHMOTSAVAMS

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju said concrete plan has been designed this year with perfect entry and exit gates at galleries keeping in view the past experience. Even the parking place has also been ensured for the convenience of the pilgrims especially on Garuda Seva Day. We urge the pilgrims to co-operate with the temple management in its efforts and have a pleasant darshan and vahana seva of Lord.

NAMA SANKEERTANA TO BE SPECIAL ATTRACTION

With a noble and novel intention to involve even the pilgrims in spiritual environs, Nama Sankeertana with eminent persons, Bhajan programmes have been organised by TTD. Apart from this the age old traditional art form yakshaganam will be performed at Mahati Auditorium in Tirupati while Gujrati bhajan troupes will perform in Asthana Mandapam at Tirumala in the evenings, said All projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao.

ANNAPRASADAM TO OPERATE FOR OVER 15 HOURS ON G-DAY

Briefing on the arrangements of Annaprasadam, the special officer of the wing Smt Chenchu Lakshmi said, the massive Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasada Bhavanam will operate from 8am till 1:30 on Gaurda Seva Day. “We have also identified five or six food points for the sake of the pilgrims who come on foot on this auspicious day”, she added.

CONCRETE BARRICADING

TTD Chief Engineer Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy said, barricading to galleries has been done with a concrete plan keeping in view the safety and convenience of pilgrims with proper entry and exit points.

SECURITY MEASURES

In co-ordination with police, we have made elaborate security arrangements for the big event, said Security officer of Tirumala, Sri Ravindra Reddy.
