“NO SRINIVASA KALYANAMS DUE TO IMPOSITION OF ELECTION CODE”-TTD EO SRI MG GOPAL

TIRUMALA, MARCH 07, 2014:  TTD EO Sri MG Gopal said that the Srinivasa Kalyanams will not be performed by TTD in any part of the state or in the country till the election code period is over.

Answering a query of a pilgrim caller Sri Ramakrishna of Narasapuram during the monthly “Dial Your EO” programme at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, the EO asserted that as election code is imposed in the country, TTD will not take up these celestial marriages during this period.

Answering another caller Sri Sudhakar Raju from Nellore, he welcomed his noble gesture of coming forward to donate 108 indegenous cows to TTD and also his idea of taking up a noval voluntary activity of distributing TTD run spiritual magazine Sapthagiri in the households in his native area in the name of “Intintiki Sapthagiri”.

Reacting to a pilgrim caller Sri Venkatramaiah of Guntur who complained that TTD’s Almanac Magazine Panchangam is being sold at hiked rates in private book stalls, the EO said TTD will take immediate action to curtail the activity and see that it is made available to the pilgrims in its own stalls.

Answering the query of Dr Sharada of Bangalore who suggested for a separate path for the aged who booked Arjitha Seva tickets, the EO said, already is TTD allowing the aged through bio-metric entric point if they are physically weak. “We will provide this information in our web site also for the sake of the pilgrim devotees”, he added.

Reacting to the pilgrim caller Sri Rajendra of Warangal who said, that TTD priests earlier used to sprinkle the sacred waters of Abhishekam (waters of the holy bath that is being performed to the presiding deity on every Friday in Srivari temple at Tirumala) but now stopped doing so and asked to restart the same, for which EO replied that it is not possible now since the pilgrim influx has incredibly increased now a days.
