TIRUPATI, MARCH 31:  “A person who develops “Stitapragnata-Stabilised Consciousness” inspite of rise and falls in one’s life alone trimphs in his or her career”, said, TTD EO Sri MG Gopal.

Speaking on the occasion of the Ugadi celebrations organied jointly by Welfare Department and HDPP wings of TTD, TTD EO said, “Ugadi” is just not a festival but prompts us to become complete person by rectifying our mistakes which we have committed in the year passed and our plan of action in future”, he added.

“Especially the astrologers who rendered “Panchanga Sravanam” today said, that though there are ups and downs in Sri Jaya Nama Samvatsara Ugadi, they all can be over come just by taking up the devotional path which can protect us from all evil effects. So Chant “Govinda Nama” always and pray the Almighty”, he said.

Earlier the day started with the Panchanga Sravanam delivered by Dr Vedantam Rajagopala Chakravarthy which was followed by Kavi Sammelan by eminent poets including Sri Mudivarthi Kondamacharyulu, Sri Munirathnam, Sri Sesha Sailendra, Sri Tota Venkateswarulu, Sri Sarvottamarao, Sri Vibhishana Sharma and employees of TTD .

After that “Sampradaya Veshadharana”(Traditional fashion dress show) and “Telugu Vantakalu”, Cultural programmes stood as special attraction to the denizens who took part in the fete.

Later the prizes were given away to the winners in competitions conducted to the employees in Quiz, Essay Writing, Elocution, Telugu Vantakalu and Sampradaya Vesha Dharana at the end of the programme.

Meanwhile some book lets including Sanatana Dharma Swarupam, Mana Kartavyam, Harikatha Sampradayam and Dharma Sankharavam brought out by HDPP were also released.

Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar, HDPP Special Officer Sri Raghunath, Welfare Dy EO Sri Rami Reddy and others were also present.

The employees of TTD will take part in this programme in Telugu vari Sampradaya Veshadharana. Meanwhile there will be special cultural programmes in the evening including “Sapthagiri Sankeertanalu” by eminent Violinist and TTD Astana Vidwanmani Kumari Kanya Kumari, Sri Rama Sankeertanamu and Annamaiah Amritha Vahini by artistes of Annamacharya Project between 5pm to 9pm.
