PAVITRA SAMARPANA IN SRI KODANDA RAMASWAMY TEMPLE

Tirupati, 23 July 2014: As a part of the on-going three day celestial fete of annual pavitrotsavams in the Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple at Tirupati, Pavitra Samarpana programme performed with religious fervour on Wednesday.

The day began with Suprabhatam, Thomala, Archana. Later the utsava murthies of Lord Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana led to Yagashala and Visvaksena Aradhana, Punyahavachana, Agni Pranana, Kumbharadhana, Ukta Homams were performed.

Between 8.30am to 10am Snapana TIrumanjanam has been performed to the deities. Later the colourful pavitra malas (thread spun out of colourful silk) were taken for a procession and led into Sannidhi. They were later adorned to Dhruvamurthies, Kautukamurthies, Snapanamurthies, Balimurthies, Dwarapalakas, Visvaksena, Bhasyakarulu, Garudalwar, Homagundams, Balipeetham, Dhwajasthambham and Anjaneya Swamy in fornt of the temple.

Later in the evening Tiruveedhi Utsavam was conducted between 5.30pm to 6.30pm followed by Sattumora at Bhasyakarla gudi.

Temple deputy EO Sri Harindranath, Superintendent SRi Munisuresh Reddy and others were also present.
