PAVITRAMALAS OFFERED TO GODDESS PADMAVATHI ON SECOND DAY

Tiruchanur, 27 September 2015: As a part of the second day of the ongoing three day Pavitrotsavams in Sri Padmavathi Temple at Tiruchanoor on Sunday, the sacred Pavitra Malas have been offered to deities in the temple as per temple tradition.

The colour threads oven out of special silk material were decorated to Dhwajasthambham, presiding deity, processional deities and other deities of the sub-temples located in temple premises.
The Pavitraropana took place in a ceremonious manner amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by temple priests as per the tenets of Pancharatra Agamavidhi.

Special Grade DyEO Smt Chenchu Lakshmi, AEO Smt Nagarathna, Suptd Sri Ravi, Temple Inspector Sri Anjaneyulu and other temple staff were also present.
