PAVITROTSAVAMS COMMENCES IN SRI GT

Tirupati, 5 September 2014: The Three-day annual pavitrotsavams commenced in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple in Tirupati on Friday.

The day started with the “Pavitra Pratistha” ritual in the Yaga Shala amidst the chanting of vedic hymns by the priests. This was followed by the Special Abhishekam of Snapana Tirumanjanam performed to the processional deities of Lord and His consorts. Later in the evening the deities were taken on a procession around the mada streets encircling the temple and Tiruveedhi Utsavam was observed with religious pomp and gaiety.

Deputy EO Sri Chandra Sekhara Pillai, AEO Sri Prasada Murthy Raju and others were also present.
