PILGRIM CALLERS LAUDS TTD EO FOR THE NEW THREE-LAYER DARSHAN SYSTEM

TIRUMALA, JULY 4: The monthly “Dial Your EO” programme which is usually confronted with complaints on long waiting hours, hassles in darshan, on Friday took a new turn with the praises and lauds of pilgrim callers pouring in on TTD for implementing the new three-layer darshan system inside Srivari temple, which is giving fruitful results.

The callers from across the country appreciated the efforts of TTD, especially TTD EO Sri MG Gopal for initiating the new darshan system enabling hassle-free darshan to millions of devotees.

Terming this achievement as a team effort and commitment of TTD officers, TTD EO thanked the callers for their remarks and said, the efforts of TTD will continue to provide much more better darshan for pilgrims by reducing the waiting hours in the days to come.

The EO said, TTD is contemplating on providing time slots to each and every category of darshan including Rs.300, sarva darshan and divya darshan so that the waiting hours of the pilgrims can be minimised. “We are exploring new ways and means to see that a pilgrim get a satisfactory darshan without any push and pull in front of lord for a wink of two seconds at least”, he added.

Later inviting calls from the pilgrims, reacting to a query of pilgrim caller Smt Sujatha from Chennai, who asked that instead of showing the movement of pilgrims or staffs while live telecast of Suprabhata seva inside srivari temple, the SVBC may telecast the performance of the arjitha sevas like Suprabhatam or Abhishekam that is performed to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara in the replica temple located at Alipiri, the EO said, the suggestion is well taken and TTD will definitely think about this.

Answering another pilgrim caller Sri Srinivasa Rao from Chennai, who suggested that a separate counter may be provided for Parakamani Srivari Sevakulu to get their quota of laddus, the EO said they will look into this issue.

Over the complaint made by pilgrim Sri Kiran from Kuppam on the decline in quality of laddu prasadam, the EO said measures will be taken to improve the taste.

Earlier the TTD EO briefed on the various religious activities undertaken by TTD in the month of July including the “Sri Vekateswara Vaibhavotsavams” which are slated to commence at Swarna Bharathi Auditorium in Visakhapatnam from July 21st to 29th. “Through this, the locals of the respective places, will get an opportunity to witness the various arjitha sevas that are being performed in the temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala sitting right in their home places. These sevas are performed with a back ground commentary by Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao”, EO added.
