PILGRIMS GIVE THUMBS UP TO TTD’s ARRANGEMENTS FOR RADHASAPTAMI

TIRUMALA, 3 February 2017: The hill town of Tirumala has witnessed sea of humanity on friday on the auspicious occasion of Radhasaptami.

The elated pilgrim crowd have given thumbs up for the elaborate arrangements made by TTD in terms of distribution of food water and buttermilk packets, cultural programs and security arrangements.

The pilgrims expressed their immense happiness to TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao when he interacted with the pilgrims in the galleries in four mada streets during inspection.

Sharing her experience, Smt. Poongodai from Erode of Tamilnadu said that for the first time she witnessed all the seven Vahana sevas. “The arrangements are extraordinary. We received vermicelli upma, pulihora, upma and different delicious menu at regular intervals apart from beverages. The service by srivari seva volunteers is laudable. Thanks to TTD management for these arrangements”, she added.

Meanwhile TTD has served 1.21 lakh tiffins, 1.42 lakh food packets and 3.16 lakh beverages in four mada streets alone apart from free meals at Annaprasada bhavanam to 68 thousand odd pilgrims and 11000 tiffins.

Meanwhile the TTD Trust Board Chief also thanked pilgrims for their cooperation towards the grand success of the one day Brahmotsavam. He also lauded the joint efforts of TTD employees, vigilance and police officials for successful completion of the event.

TTD OPENS POWER PLANT

In yet another achievement, TTD has opened up solar power plant at Tamballapalle on Friday. Out of the total 10 mega watts supply, in first phase TTD has commenced 3mega watts and the remaining in next three months time, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

TTD has also commenced booking of Rs.300 tickets in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana service centres at a service charge of Rs.5 per ticket.
